Not every company is willing to train new students and new employees, but PAM Transport is more than happy to help out future employees with the option of getting their certification at one of their many company sponsored truck driving schools. With the agreement in mind that the student will need to work with them upon completion for the minimum of at least a year, PAM Transport is a company that is more than happy to take on new drivers.

While PAM Transport doesn’t offer paid CDL training directly, they have partnered with Driver Solutions to offer company paid CDL training to anyone who qualifies. Upon graduating from the truck driver training program, you will be guaranteed full-time employment for at least 1 year.

Benefits:

  • You’ll receive $5995 worth of training for free with no payroll deductions.
  • Your lodging costs are paid for and are part of the tuition.
  • You do not need your commercial learner’s permit (CLP) before starting school.
  • You’ll receive one-on-one training with a highly experienced mentor while training on the road.
  • With truck driving schools in and around 25 states you have plenty of locations to choose from.
  • You are guaranteed at least 1 year of employment as a driver with PAM Transport.
  • You can request a personal trainer who doesn’t smoke during your on-the-road training.
  • You’ll get paid weekly during your on-the-road training at a rate of $300 to $350 per week.
  • As a driver you start at 26-28 cents per mile with 3 pay increases every 3 months up to 34cpm.
  • After 2 years you’ll earn 35 cents per mile. After 3 years, 36cpm, then 1cpm yearly up to 42cpm.
  • After 3 months, you’ll receive benefits: medical, dental, life insurance, and a 401-K.

Requirements:

  • You must be at least 22 years of age and a U.S. citizen or legally allowed to work in the U.S.
  • No commercial learner’s permit (CLP) is required upon sign-up but, a valid U.S. driver’s license is.
  • You must have held your U.S. driver’s license for at least 1 year during the past year.
  • You must have a U.S. residential address within the hiring area.
  • You cannot have had a single DUI/DWI within the past 5 years.
  • You cannot have had more than 1 DUI/DWI conviction in your lifetime.
  • Your driving record must not contain any speeding violations (over 20 mph) in the past 3 years.
  • Within the first few days of the program you will be required to pass a DOT medical exam.
  • Within the first few days of the program you will be required to pass a DOT drug screening.
  • You must pay $50 – $100 to cover the cost of your commercial learner’s permit (CLP) fees.
  • You must pay your own basic living expenses, including meals.
